Do you want to teach your children to help protect the planet? Captain Planet and the Planeteers DVD's are a great way to teach and show your children how important it is to help save the planet. The Cartoon has five special young kids, that are called the Planeteers, along with Captain Planet, which will make it more fun for the kids to watch and learn.
The grandkids love watching Captain Planet and the Planeteers, especially when they are using their powers. I think this is a great cartoon for the kids.
Guided by the ancient wisdom of Gaia and armed only with the will to do good, along with the strength of the Earth itself, five young Planeteers from around the globe fight to protect the planet from those ready to do it harm. Only by working as a team will their individual powers — Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart — combine to form the iconic hero known as Captain Planet. Together they will right the wrongs of the Eco-Villains and prevent future crimes against the planet — because an injustice against the Earth is an injustice against us all.
Shout! - Factory Store is releasing the Captain Planet and the Planeteers: Season One DVD on April 19. In this fun PSA, Captain Planet reminds us all to buy recycled products whenever possible!
About Shout! FactorySome of the people at Shout! are refugees from the Rhino Records label, where they managed to unleash an ungodly number of music compilations, retro-TV re-issues and a few movies of dubious distinction on an unsuspecting public.
They've grown Shout! quickly, adding several divisions that complement their core physical product content business. In 2006 they acquired a music television production company, Blaze, run by Conor McAnally, who produces Direct TV's CD USA show, as well as many live music shows. They'll produce numerous concerts from this year's SXSW festival and believe this is a big growth area for them. They're looking to do mostly music-based original production for television and DVD release.
They've put together a completely new and different website. This is the beginning of what they think is a bright future for them in the digital world. They're starting with their website and working on a number of strategies to translate their skills (as non-digital as they may be) into the digital world.
