Beano's Submarine Dressing Review

Print Friendly and PDF

Does your family have a lot of sandwiches or subs?  Subs are awesome for entertaining or just a great meal.  There's some great new submarine dressings out, called Beano's.  For this review I received one Authentic Southwest Sandwich Sauce, one Bold & Tangy Deli Mustard and one All American Sandwich Spread.  My family and I loved all three.  They were excellent as a spread in sandwiches and as a dipping sauce.  These are a new family favorite, that will be continuously put on the grocery list!  I would definitely recommend!

About Conroy Foods

Conroy Foods grew out of a restaurant called "Beano's" Pizza & Suds.  It was located just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a small town called Blawnox.  After Jim graduated from college in 1985, his brother Bill and him founded the restaurant.

Their menu consisted of pizza, submarine sandwiches and Italian entrees.  Bill and Jim worked long days and nights.  The business had become very successful.  It was in 1989 when one of their customers suggested that they should sell their submarine dressing to grocery stores.  Jim's wife, brother and him began researching this idea.  They began visiting local grocery stores, going to national submarine sandwich chains and reading trade magazines.  Much to their surprise, they had discovered that there wasn't a dressing or condiment specifically designed for the submarine sandwich.  They also found that the submarine sandwich category was one of the fastest growing food categories in the country.

So, the three of them formed Conroy Foods Inc.  They began putting in even longer hours.  They worked their separate jobs during the day.  In the evening they would all come together to bottle our family recipe, sometimes working until early hours of the morning.

Their first customer was a local grocery store chain headquartered in Pittsburgh.  At the time, they had about 125 stores in 3 states.  Jim visited with each Deli Manager giving out samples.  The response was great and the orders started coming in.

In 1991, as their distribution grew, they sold the restaurant.  They devoted their full time to manufacturing their Submarine Dressing and to the development of new items.  They currently sell their condiments in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Central America.

A product  SAMPLE was received for review.  I was not paid in any form of cash for this posting.  The opinions expressed are my own and were NOT influenced in any way.
