Print Friendly and PDF

Father's Day is almost here!  Did you get your gifts for dear ole dad?  How about movies on blu-ray.  I received three blu-ray movies for this review, they were Tigerland, The Hustler and The Comancheros.  This would be a great way to spend some time with dad, get some popcorn popped up and enjoy these three great movies!  The movies were great!

About The Comancheros

Academy Award - Winning legend John Wayne lays down the law and hearts up the screen in this 50th Anniversary Blu-ray Edition of The Comancheros.  It's packed with never before seen extras and featuring limited edition book packaging with rare photo from the Twentieth Century Fox archives.

Determined to bring down a violent gang of gunrunners known as Comancheros, a fearless Texas Ranger (Wayne) forms an uneasy alliance with notorious outlaw gambler (Stuart Whitman, and the unlikely partners soon realize they must find  common ground if they're going to stay alive!

About The Hustler

Racking up nine Academy Award Nominations, including Best Picture, this powerful and provocative cinematic masterpiece explodes on screen - as never before - on Blue-ray!  Paul Newman electrifies in his brilliant portrayal of Fast Eddie Felson, an arrogant hustler whose unbridled ambition drives him to challenge legendary pool player Minnesota Fats (Jackie Gleason) - but the stakes are higher than either of them can imagine.

About Tigerland

Just released from the base stockade, recruit Roland Bozz (Colin Farrell) joins a platoon of young soldiers preparing to ship out to Vietnam.  Bozz's independence and outright defiance draws fire from his own men as well as commanding officers.  But when the platoon is sent to Tigerland, a hellish training ground that is the last stop before Vietnam Bozz's leadership and loyalty bring his men together - triggering extraordinary consequences.

Colin Farrell delivers a star making performance and is a winner of the Best Actor Award from the Boston Society of Film Critics in this riveting action film from acclaimed directory Joel Schumacher.
