Are you always looking for organic skin care products? For this review I received one Basa Body Coconut Oil Body Lotion and one Basa Body Stick. I'm crazy about things made out of coconut oil, so I was excited to do this review. I have been using the Basa Body Stick on my husband's feet, they are really dry and the heels are cracked, it is working great on his feet. I have been using the Basa Body Lotion on my hands, arms, legs and feet. I love this stuff!
Basa Body Launches November 2011In November, Basa Body will launch their entirely updated signature skin-care products and website. As they prepare for the launch, keep an eye on their home page because you might be interested in some great things they have in store. Their R&D team is busy creating masterpieces, the marketing team is buzzing around trying to avoid flying into the light, and their CEO is working tirelessly on the beaches of Kenya sourcing coconuts from Kenya!
To get ready for the launch, they'll be giving away lots of cool freebies (see the list on the home page) including products, skin care recipes, interviews with skin care and social business experts, videos, and other cool things.
More Than Just A Company - Basa Body's DNAThe Basa Body story began years ago with a single trip to Kenya. They connected with wonderful, intelligent women working hard to feed their families. Their small-scale enterprise was called Coast Coconut Farms, where they produced virgin, organic coconut oil by hand.
Intrigued by their commitment, skill, and entrepreneurial spirit, they were determined to help these women tell their story and grow their business. The result is BasaBody, named after the women of Mombasa, Kenya, where Basa's coconut oil is produced.
As well as providing a sustainable income and employment for the women of Coast Coconut farms, Basa Body also donates 10% of its profits to humanitarian projects in Kenya. Yehu Microfinance is one of our partner organizations and has helped over 18,000 women secure loans to start their own businesses and help themselves and their families rise out of poverty.
About Basa BodyBasa skin care products are fresh, all-natural, made from only the finest organic ingredients. Their signature ingredient is healing virgin coconut oil made by the women of Coast Coconut Farms on the beautiful coast of Kenya. Basa products are free from harsh chemicals and parabens that irritate the skin. Their products are made in small batches to ensure quality and freshness and contain no preservatives. They are safe for even the most sensitive skin.
Their ingredients are 100% natural and are kept to a minimum so you can feel safe using them for yourself and your family, even your little ones.
Basa’s core mission is to satisfy consumers who desire skin-care products made with all-natural ingredients that protect, not harm your skin. Basa Body was created as a social for-profit company designed to help create economic opportunities and wealth for Kenyan women at the base of the economic pyramid. Basa wants to both help these women pull themselves out of poverty for good and also create long lasting jobs and opportunites in developed countries.
Coconut oil lotions in a variety of scents (natural, citrus splash and coconut), hand-crafted gourmet soaps made from coconut oil (mint chocolate truffle, chocolate-covered raspberry, white chocolate pomegrante, cinnamon spice, raspberry creme, citrus splash), coconut oil body sticks (awesome for heels, eczema and cracked skin), age-defying night facial moisture serum, coconut-lime facial cleanser, luscious peppermint lip butter with sunblock.
