Cheesy Potatoes with Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations Sausage - #GourmetCreations #CBias

Print Friendly and PDF

Are you a sausage lover?  I got some awesome sausage to tell you about, it's Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations Sausage!  I took a little shopping trip Saturday morning to Walmart.  I got a great recipe from the Hillshire Farm website, some time ago and I thought this would be a perfect day to make it.  It's called Cheesy Potatoes with Smoked Sausage, but instead of the smoked sausage I bought the new Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations - Sweet Italian Style with Peppers & Mozzarella Cheese to put in it, instead of the smoked sausage.  Wow, this sausage is really good!  This sausage is a little spicy, since it has peppers in it, but I love spicy foods, so it was a perfect fit for me.  I changed the recipe a little, I added 4 eggs, I figure that if you have sausage, hash browns, you got to have some eggs in it.  This recipe would be awesome to serve to your friends and family any day of the week.

Check out some of my pictures.  I have never seen the package of the Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations.  So, here I am, not know what they actually look like, but then I see them.  They have four different flavors, Sweet Italian Style with Peppers & Mozzarella Cheese, Beef & Bacon Sausage with Monterey Jack Cheese, Beef and Jalapeno with Monterey Jack  and Chicken & Apple Sausage with Gouda Cheese.  If you think about it, $3.98 isn't too bad for one package.  Last week I seen hot dog franks for over $5.00 for one package, I thought wow, isn't that getting a little expensive.  So, I picked out the Sweet Italian Style with Peppers and Mozzarella Cheese Gourmet Creations.  So, off I go to get the rest of the ingredients to make the Cheesy Potatoes with Smoked Sausage.

Shredded Cheese is the next stop,  I think I will get Shredded Medium Cheddar Tillamook.  I can't seem to find the refrigerated shredded hash browns.  I had to ask where they were, they were in one of those refrigerated units that sit in the middle of the floor.  I Grabbed some sour cream, milk, vitamin water and an onion.

Okay, I got everything I need today, to make the Cheesy Potatoes with the Gourmet Creations.  Well, I waited to make this for Halloween night.  It's time to start making this awesome dish.  It was a big hit, the family was very impressed on how awesome it tasted with the Gourmet Creations!

Oh, let me give you the recipe, you just might want to try it.

I love this recipe, it's quick and easy.  Only 10 minutes prep time.  With this recipe you could probably use any of the Gourmet Creations.

Okay, got it all together, I just need to mix it up and put it in the 9 x 13 pan and cook it on 350 degrees.

The picture on the left is before going into the oven and the top right is when it was done cooking.  This is a pretty tasty recipe, quick and easy, now that's what I like on busy night of Halloween.
