Are you all excited for spring and summer?  I love the warm weather, it's a perfect time to entertain and enjoy the sunshine.  McCormick has a great addition to their website called My Look Book, it's full of fun recipes, perfect for entertaining or just fun family time.  It's very easy to use, just register and start checking out all the delicious recipes!  You can create a digital scrapbook of all your favorite spring recipes.  They have recipes for your whole meal, from the main course to dessert.  You can save your favorite recipes to your own personal Look Book, print them or you can pin it on Pinterest.  On  my Pinterest page, you will see that I have a board called Spring/Easter Recipe Ideas and I have pinned many of the recipes from McCormick's  My Look Book.  They have some delicious looking recipes.  I know I will be making a lot of their recipes for the family.

Here is a list of some great products that I received from McCormick, which I used some of them for a family favorite recipe:
  • 1 Bottle of Ground Ginger
  • 1 Bottle of Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Bottle of  Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Bottle of Lemon Extract
  • 1 Bottle of Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Boxes of Assorted Food Color and Egg Dye

I have been planning to make three Pumpkin Pies for sometime and I was out of the Ground Ginger, so when I received all of these fabulous products, I knew right away what recipe I wanted to make.  This was perfect timing, to receive these awesome products from McCormick.

I know this isn't a spring recipe, but it is a family favorite and I had all the ingredients, except for the ground ginger.  My family devoured two of the pies and I gave one away to a family member.

You can always count on McCormick for all of your Herb & Spices, Recipe Inspirations, Seasoning Mixes, Extracts & Food Colors, Grill Mates, Gourmet Collection and some great products for Seafood.

Famous Pumpkin Pie

I used the recipe on the back of the Pumpkin can, so here is the recipe:
  • 1½ cups of sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can (29 oz.) Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin
  • 2 cans (12 fl. oz. each) Evaporated Milk
  • *2 unbaked 9 inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shells

Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in small bowl.
Beat eggs in large bowl.  Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture.
Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

Pour into pie shells.  I place the pie shells in the oven, then I pour
the pumpkin mixture into the shells.  This way you don't spill the
pumpkin mixture, while carrying it to the oven.

Bake in preheated 425ºF. oven for 15 minutes.  Reduce temperature to
350ºF.; bake 40 - 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack for 2 hours.  Serve immediately or refrigerate.

* I actually use three of the unbaked pie crusts, there was still a little of the pie filling left after the three pie shells were full.
