Are you looking for a way to calm your cat or dog down?  Have you heard of Comfort Zone?  Comfort Zone are stress relieving products for dogs and cats!  For this review I received one blue bandana, one rubber cat, one rubber dog, one Comfort Zone with D.A.P. Spray for Dogs, two Comfort Zone with Feliway Diffuser for Cats, two Comfort Zone Feliway Spray for Cats and two packages of refills for the Comfort Zone Diffuser for Cats.  My cats are about 10 years old, every now and then they they fight each other.  About a week after I started using Comfort Zone I noticed that they seem calmer, when we put them in their room at night.  The male cat still urinated in front of the cat box the first couple of weeks.  The cat box was always clean, but for some reason he thought he would go in front of the cat box.  We have plastic put down just in case, but for the last week or so, he has been really good about not doing it, so I would recommend Comfort Zone!

About Comfort Zone

Changes in your pet’s environment can cause stress to your pets and cause them to act out.  Comfort Zone is an effective way of managing stress-related behavior such as vertical scratching, urine marking in cats and excessive barking and chewing in dogs.  They mimic the pheromones secreted by dogs and cats to reduce undesirable behavior.

Dog Appeasing Pheromones

Pheromones secreted by animals are natural chemicals used to communicate with others of the same species.

Comfort Zone with D.A.P. (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) products mimic the “appeasing” pheromones secreted by nursing mother dogs, sending a signal of comfort and safety to her puppies.

When your dog or puppy senses the pheromone, he feels secure and comfortable, reducing his fear reactions and his urge to act out destructively through chewing, excessive barking or house soiling.

The diffusers work by using a heating element to disperse the pheromone into the air.  Once the pheromone is present, the pet breathes it in, and the pheromone attaches to a receptive organ, called the vomeronasal organ located in the nasal cavity. The vomeronasal organ then signals the brain, via nerves, and a sense of well-being is established.
  • Just plug it into the room in which the dog has recently urinated, chewed or displayed other signs of stress, for ’round-the-clock' control
  • One diffuser bottle lasts 30 days and covers up to 500 - 650 sq. ft.
  • Refills are available wherever Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® products are sold
  • Sprays are available in 75 mL bottles, perfect for traveling.

Comfort Zone D.A.P. Spray for Dogs

Comfort Zone with D.A.P. Spray helps end or reduce fear-related, destructive behavior in dogs and puppies.  The active ingredient is an analogue of the pheromone released by the mother dog while nursing.  When the dog or puppy senses the pheromone through the nasal passage, he feels secure and comfortable, reducing his urge to act out through chewing, excessive barking, house soiling or other fear-related behaviors.  Comfort Zone with D.A.P. Spray helps alleviate fear-related behaviors associated with travel, new environments, crate confinement or kennels, and other situations where your dog may feel uncomfortable.

Feline Facial Pheromones

Pheromones emitted by animals are natural chemicals that help them to communicate with others of the same species.

Comfort Zone with Feliway products mimic the feline facial pheromone that helps a cat feel at home in his environment.  When your cat rubs his face on an object, or even you, he is releasing the feline facial pheromone that marks the area as familiar and safe.

When he senses this facial pheromone through the nasal passage, he recognizes it as familiar and does not feel the urge to urine mark or scratch.

The diffusers work by using a heating element to disperse the pheromone into the air.  Once the pheromone is present, the pet breathes it in, and the pheromone attaches to a receptive organ called the vomeronasal organ located in the nasal cavity.  The vomeronasal organ then signals the brain, via nerves, and a sense of well-being is established.

  • One diffuser bottle lasts 30 days and covers 500 - 650 sq. ft.

Comfort Zone with Feliway Diffuser for Cats

Don’t let destructive behavior ruin your relationship with your cat.  If something disturbs your cat’s environment, such as a new pet, visitors, moving to a new home or even rearranging the furniture, he may start urine marking, scratching or even stop eating.  Comfort Zone with Feliway products help control destructive urine marking and scratching associated with fear or stressful situations.

Comfort Zone Feliway Spray for Cats

Comfort Zone with Feliway Spray controls urine marking and scratching, calms cats in transport and comforts cats in stressed environments.  After cleaning urine-affected areas, spray directly onto the urine marks, as well as onto prominent objects including furniture, drapes, window frames and doorways.
