School is right around the corner. Have you gotten all of your kid's school supplies yet? You have probably noticed all the sales for "back to school" for school supplies and clothes. What are all the things you do to prepare your children to head back to school? Well, the first thing we would do is to get the list of school supplies from the schools and then we would hit all the sales to get all of the supplies. Then it's time to takes the kids to the stores and get them new clothes for the school year, along with backpacks and lunch pails. About a week or two before school, we have to re-train the kids to get up early and go to bed early. That always seems to be a bit of a chore for all the kids.
I think it is fantastic that the Boys and Girls Club of America, Disney and JCPenney are helping out all of those awesome kids! It's great that people are willing to help young kids get a head.
Please take a few minutes and take the Play2Give Quiz! It helps out our families that can't afford school supplies!
Boys and Girls Club Making a Difference - Tools for Back to SchoolBoys & Girls Clubs of America is proud to partner with Disney to launch their Tools for Back to School initiative, online school supply drive. From Aug. 1 – Sept. 30, the public can participate in a pop quiz-style game where playing equals giving. For every five correct answers, a donation of supplies will be made to a Boys & Girls Club member. Thanks to the public’s participation and Disney’s support, a minimum of 15,500 supplies will be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs. Club youth will receive up to 30,500 supplies, including folders, books and pencil kits.
BGCA has also partnered with JCPenney and in August you can join JCP cares and round up your purchase at the register to benefit BGCA.
BGCA offers different educational content and tip sheets for parents to download and utilize. You can find them on the left hand side of the BGCA site under the ‘Get Ready’ header.

About the Boys and Girls Club of AmericaTo enable all young people, especially those who need them the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of America works hard every day to make a difference in the lives of youth in communities all over the world. Their Clubs serve millions of boys and girls, with thousands of Clubs at locations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and on domestic and international U.S. military installations. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and pride. Young people across the country are facing tough decisions and lacking the proper guidance to shape them into responsible young people. With 30% of American youth not graduating high school on time and 16% of our nation’s youth being overweight, something has to be done and fast. Why? Because today’s young people are tomorrow’s leaders, and what they learn and experience now will affect all of our lives in the future.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Boys and Girls Club. I received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
