As you can tell, there is some very interesting parts to this cookbook!  The author (Julie Morris), tells about the way she ate and the habits she broke.  Most Chefs believe that in understanding how to make food, they must first understand the experience of food.  This experience revolves around three important sensory points that are the hallmark of a "properly" created dish: sight, smell and taste!  Obviously, the final judgement rests with the taste buds in our mouth, which efficiently categorize our food with a "love it" or "hate it" verdict almost instantaneously.

This cookbook is about the culinary revolution of the most nutrient-dense food on earth, Superfoods!  An eclectic group of berries, seeds, fruits, roots, and vegetables, Superfoods have been prized by ancient cultures for thousands of years for their remarkable powers to heal and energize, to promoting radiant good health and high performance, both mentally and physically.  Superfoods have been celebrated for thousands of years in ancient civilizations all around the world.

Only recently, Superfoods have become superstars in the western health food communities.  The rising tide of chronic diseases, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and obesity, along with fatigue and depression.  Many professionals had to rethink about the modern American diet.  Julie hopes that the Superfood Kitchen Cookbook offers revolutionary and dynamically effective answers!

With the following Superfoods, Julie has created many delicious recipes, that are easy to make!
  • Acai Berries
  • Algae
  • Berries from North America
  • Cacao
  • Camu Camu Berries
  • Chia Seeds
  • Flaxseeds
  • Golden Berries
  • Goji Berries
  • Grasses
  • Green Leafy Vegetbles
  • Hemp Seeds
  • Maca
  • Maqui Berries
  • Mulberry
  • Pomegranate
  • Quinoa
  • Sacha Inchi
  • Sea Buckthorn
  • Sea Vegetables
  • Sprouts
  • Yacon
I have made the Acai Berry Cheesecake, Lemon Coconut Breakfast Bars, Chipotle Chili with Avocado Sour Cream and I was quite surprised how great they all tasted!  I also made smoothies with the Organic Sweet Raw Cacao Nibs.  I can't wait to try every single recipe in the Superfood Kitchen Cookbook.  I know all of the recipes are full of beneficial nutrients and want to start adding more Superfoods into my diet.

I would highly recommend the Superfood Kitchen Cookbook!

I am never sure what to do with superfoods and if some foods belong in that category. This book would be perfect for me. First I'll see if it is in the library and if I like the recipes then I can buy it. Thanks for the review.
