My family and I don't really follow any type of diet, we pretty much eat anything we want. We like to eat a variety of different foods and fried foods is one of them. We eat a lot of fish and chicken, sometimes, we bake it and other times we deep fry it. For this review I received three different kinds of Kay's Natural Breading and three different types of Pretzels. The breading came in some interesting flavors, Chili Nacho Flavor, Sesame Pretzel Flavor and Parmesan Flavor. The Pretzels came in the Original, Jalapeño Honey Mustard and Cinnamon Toast Flavor.
Since, I was going to do some deep frying, I stopped by my local Fred Meyers and grabbed some wild cod. I already had some chicken fillets up in the freezer, so I grabbed a couple of those. I gathered a few other things to deep fry, like pickles, zucchini, cheese sticks, along with the cod and chicken breast. I decided to use Olive Oil to fry it in, instead of the vegetable oil. Olive Oil doesn't need to be as hot as vegetable oil for frying, which I didn't know.
I used all three bags of breading, my favorite was the Chili Nacho Breading! We enjoyed the Pretzels with our fried foods, my favorite was the Jalapeño Honey Mustard Pretzels! I like foods that have a little kick to it! The number one thing, I like best about the Kay's High Protein Breading is that it has 30% less fat up-take than traditional breading! So, I would recommend the Kay's High Protein Breading and the Pretzels were great for snacking!
