PB Crave Peanut Butter "Back to School" Review and Giveaway - Ends 08-05-13

Print Friendly and PDF

A product sample was received for review. I was not paid in any form of cash for this posting. The opinions expressed are my own and were NOT influenced in any way.

The giveaway is only opened to the Continental United States!

It's hard to believe that school starts next month!  Have you done all of your "Back to School" shopping yet?  Besides school supplies and clothes, you'll have to start thinking about school lunches.  Will you be letting your children buy school lunches?  I have heard a lot of horror stories that school lunches aren't really food, they are mainly additives, fillers and a lot of questionable ingredients.  Home packed lunches are more healthy and you will know what your children are really eating.  You will have to pack a beverage, maybe some milk or juice, a sandwich, a piece of fruit or some vegetables and maybe a more healthy dessert.

The beverages are easy, but what about the sandwiches?  Will you be making sandwiches of deli meat, cheese, tuna or peanut butter?  Deli meat is somewhat healthy, but it has preservatives in it, to make it stay fresh longer.  Then there's the story, about too much mercury in your canned tuna and the rumors about how dairy products aren't even good for you, which includes cheese.  Well, there's always peanut butter, which is usually healthy for you, but have you read the labels?

For this review, I received one jar of the following four flavors of PB Crave Peanut Butter, Choco Choco, Cookie Nookie, Coco Bananas and Razzle Dazzle!  I couldn't wait to try all of them! They're awesome!  My favorite was the Cookie Nookie!  The first thing, I put it on was ice cream.  Have you ever tried peanut butter on ice cream?  Let me tell, it's absolutely delicious!

I loved the peanut butters, but there are a couple of ingredients that I would rather, them not have, one is Maltodextrin and the other one is Soy Lecithin.  Chances are very high, that the Maltodextrin in the product is derived from Monsanto's GM corn and the Soy Lecithin are most likely of GM origin, when it's not certified organic.  They state that the Soy lecithin is an all natural ingredient, commonly used in food processing to keep the chocolate from separating.  It's derived from the oil of the soybean vs. the protein of the soybean.  PB Crave does contain allergens, which are the peanuts, soy and milk.  PB Crave uses only premium, natural ingredients.  PB Crave is not certified Organic at this time.  One good thing, is that PB Crave Peanut Butter is Gluten-free and it does not require refrigeration!

About PB Crave Peanut Butter

Everybody loves peanut butter.  Or, in the case of Curt Riess, everybody loves PB Crave Premium Peanut Butter.

Curt was raised on traditional peanut butter and hated it!  Everything changed the moment he tried a delicious mix of peanut butter, raspberries and mouth-watering chocolate.  In fact, he loved this new twist on an old classic so much, he created his own peanut butter company and after 40 years of avoiding peanut butter he is now eating it nearly everyday.

Curt’s Peanut Butter Company soon developed four unique PB Crave flavors!  The exciting new peanut butter is produced by Sweet Harvest Foods in Cannon Falls, MN, where they’ve focused on uncompromised quality, discriminating taste and unwavering integrity for nearly 100 years.

Passion drives everything they do.  They want to be the best at what they do and how they do it.  That’s why they’ve built their culture on the values that they cherish most:
  • Quality:  They develop products and partnerships focused on quality that leave a lasting impression.
  • Citizenship:  They’re fortunate.  Others may not be.  They’re committed to making the world a better place.
  • Innovation:  They never want to stop striving for more.  They are re-inventing the peanut butter category.

Changing Peanut Butter to Change the World!

PB Crave is different, because they're actually making a difference!

Their goal is to help save the lives of 2 million children.  A minimum of 2% of the profits from every jar of PB Crave peanut butter goes directly to Project Peanut Butter, a non-profit organization focused on treating malnourished children.

The non-profit organization has helped save the lives of more than 100,000 children through ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs) featuring high-calorie, fortified peanut butter-like pastes.

Around the world, malnutrition is the leading cause of death for children under 5!  It doesn't have to
be!  Join PB Crave and help change the world!

How awesome that they can use a peanut based instead of a dairy based formula to help those babies. Peanuts are much more nutritious and doesn't spoil as quickly. It's nice to keep the kids out of the hospital, too. It sounds like it helps everyone all over.
