Print Friendly and PDF

A product sample was received for review. I was not paid in any form of cash for this posting. The opinions expressed are my own and were NOT influenced in any way.

People with active lifestyles need to make sure they are getting enough nutrition, especially people that are active in sports.  When people get really busy, they sometimes skip meals and don't get the proper nutrition.  Eating a proper diet can help you get plenty of nutrition, but what about getting enough protein?  Have you thought about drinking a protein drink?  To get enough protein you would need to eat vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, grain and take supplements.  Do you have the time to make sure you get enough protein in your meals?

Whey Protein Drinks can save you time and you'll be getting enough protein.  Protein is important for your health.  I was just reading an article called, Whey protein fights fatty liver disease and heart disease.  Just reading the title of the article, should make you want to make sure you get enough protein in your diet.  The article talked about, how Whey Protein can lower your cholesterol, reduce fatty liver disease and heart disease.

Most people that are into bodybuilding, athletes or just health enthusiasts drink a whey protein drink.  The amino acids in whey protein drinks are like building blocks for muscle tissue, energy production, brain metabolism, body metabolism, cardiovascular function and the immune system.  The most important amino acid is L-leucine, it helps people looking to improve their musculature, fitness and overall bodily function, it also burns through quite a few calories and stimulates fatty acid oxidation.

For this review, I received one canister of TWINLAB Clean Series Sport Protein and one canister of Whey Protein Isolate.  I wasn't too sure how they were going to taste.  I tried the Whey Protein Isolate first and it tasted really good, it tasted alittle sweet and then I tried the Sport Protein, it wasn't as sweet as the other one, but it was good too!  Each day I would put a scoop of the protein powder in 6-8 ounces of filtered water and blend it with my magic bullet.  By using the magic bullet it got kind of fluffy, but it was easy to drink.

Whey Protein Isolate (from milk), glycine, fructose, natural flavors, guar gum, xanthan gum, rebA (stevia), lecithin (soy or sunflower).

Both of these protein powders have fructose, why?  Fructose isn't good for the body, so I don't know why it would be in the ingredients.  Everything linked is red, isn't good for the body and it's linked to the page that states that.  With the ingredients highlighted in red, I can't recommend these products.

Suggested use for both the Whey Protein Isolate and Sport Protein:

Add 1 scoop to 6-8 oz of cold water, shake or blend for about 5 seconds and enjoy.  For best results, use as part of a proper diet and exercise program.
