Spam Hash Brown Quiche Recipe

Spam Hash Brown Quiche
My family and I love egg dishes.  I've made different kinds of quiche, but I never really liked the crust, so I came up with Spam Hash Brown Quiche!  The crust is made of hash browns and is it ever delicious! So, here's a recipe that I'm sure the whole family would love!

  • 6 - cups of shredded partially frozen Hash Browns

  • 1 - cube of Butter, melted

  • 6 - eggs, beaten

  • 2 - cups of half-and-half

  • 1 - can of spam

  • 1 - cup of onion, chopped

  • 2 - cups of shredded cheddar

Hash Browns and Butter

Take the 6 cups of hash browns and the melted butter, mixing them in a 9' x 13' inch pan, press the mixture on the bottom and sides of pan.  Since the butter is kind of hard, with the hash browns being so cold, I Bake it for about 5-10 minutes at º450 and then remove from oven, continuing to shape the crust.  I return it to the oven for another 15-20 minutes.  Total cooking time would be 20-25 minutes.

While the crust is baking, I put the chopped onion and chopped spam into the frying pan to gently brown them.

While they're frying, I then beat the six eggs.

Then add the 2 cups of half-and-half to the beaten eggs.

Then it's time to add the 2 cups of cheddar cheese into the same bowl.

I don't have a Kitchen-aid splash guard, so I wrap Press-n-Seal around it.

When the spam and onions are ready, I add them to the same bowl and continued to beat them for a few minutes.

Now, that the crust has finished baking, I poured all the ingredients into the pan and continued to bake at º350 degrees for another 30-35 minutes.
