It's always fun to create a new recipe! Have you ever added candy to your recipes? About four months ago I received an ice cream maker from my sister-in-law. The first batch of ice cream that I made, was vanilla ice cream with crushed Butterfinger Bites in it! Oh, it was delicious! Think of the possibilities of using candy in recipes! You can put candy in ice cream, cakes, cupcakes and so many other things.
For this review, I received one bag of Butterfinger Bites! Of course, once we got the bag in the mail, we couldn't wait to get into them. They're a very tasty candy, they are like a peanut butter crunchy toffee, covered in chocolate! They are really good!
In honor of the NEW Butterfinger Bites and Butterfinger’s 90ish anniversary, they’ve partnered with exclusive dessert food trucks and created one-of-a-kind recipes from ice cream sandwiches, cake pops, cookies and more!
Butterfinger invites you to make your own recipes, via Facebook.com/butterfinger! So, what kind of recipe will you come up with?
Here's a recipe created by Nestle, called Peanut-Butterfinger Cream Pie!
Peanut-Butterfinger Cream Pie
- 1 prepared 10-inch (9 ounces) graham cracker or chocolate crumb crust
- 1 pkg. reduced fat cream cheese
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 container light frozen whipped topping
- 4 Fun Size NESTLÉ BUTTERFINGER Candy Bars
BEAT cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar in large mixer bowl until smooth. Stir in about 1 cup whipped topping until well mixed. Fold in remaining whipped topping. Chop 3 Butterfinger bars and fold into mixture until well distributed.
SPOON into crust. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours or until firm. Before serving, chop remaining Butterfinger bar and sprinkle around perimeter of pie.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
